SSA Community Relations, Chika lbekwe, Salutes Imo First Lady on Visit to Aboh Mbaise, Ngor Okpala

The Senior Special Assistant SSA, to the Governor of Imo state on Community Relations Owerri Zone, Hon Chika Ibekwe in conjunction with the entire women of Aboh Mbaise/ Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency and Owerri Zone at large has felicitated with the wife of the Governor, Barr (Mrs) Chioma Uzodinma “Mama Imo” on her visit to the most peaceful Federal Constituency in the State as she flagged off this year’s Imo Women’s August meeting on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.
Speaking to Trumpeta shortly after the eventful outing, the proactive Governor’s Aide thanked the wife of the Governor for her care, love and concern shown to the people of Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala as she empowered 500 Women in the Federal Constituency.
Hon Chika urged the women of Owerri zone to appreciate  and support the wife of the Governor for remembering them in this  year’s  August meeting that yielded practical results, we the entire people of the area must redouble our support to enable her Excellency’s good work permeate all the Communities in Owerri zone.
August is a very important month in the life of every lgbo woman, it is a month recognized in lgbo land for the annual return of lgbo women across the globe as they gather to give support to the development of rural populace by engaging in community projects.
Her Excellency Barr, Chioma Uzodimma in her massage at the event which was read by her representative, Hon Nkechi Ugwu (Commissioner for Gender & Vulnerable Groups), spoke on the continuous report of rape cases, violence against women, and measure’s to end rape in our society, she emphatically spoke on the pedophilia cases where female children are the victims, and called for action against it.
She further spoke on the global pandemic COVID 19 and advised the Imo women to observe the measures as to stay safe.
The event saw cheers as the deputy Governors wife Her Excellency Bola Njoku in Her entourage was the commissioner for gender and vulnerable group Lady Nkechi Ugwu and S.A to the Governor on women mobilization Hon (Mrs) Josephine Nnoaham and other commissioners and SAs and SSAs present.
