Ohaji/Egbema Stakeholders Pass Confidence Vote On Uzodinma •Thank Gov For Appointing Their Sons And Daughters

It was celebration galore and moment of “awe” in the land of Ohaji-Egbema , as the critical stakeholders of the above Local Government, across party line,  in a well attended meeting, passed a vote of implicit confidence on the Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma for appointing their sons and daughters into key positions in his Administration.
Among whom were, Hon. Dr. Esom Goddy Obodo, Chief Charles Orie (Akuatuegwu 1 of Umuokanne), Hon. Golden Nwosu(Former commissioner for lands and survey), Hon. Golden Nwokoma, Hon. Gideon Meffor, Engr. Raymond Ogara(NDDC co-ordinator, Abia State), Prof. Kyran Nwanorh, Hon. Ikegwuruka Johndonald(SA to the Governor on Artisans and Technicians), Hon. Adonis Nich, Hon. Mrs. Nina Nwulu(SA on signage and advertisement), Hon. Dimkpa Enyia, Hon. Ogbuka Ifeanyi, Hon. Damian Oparah, Prof. Vitalis Nwulu, Hon Okpor Dominic, Sir. Mike Nwobi(National President, Ogbako Ohaji), Barr. Ejike Esinkonye Enyioha, Hon. Blessing Silver, Hon. Ekweremba, Hon. Emeka Alihie(PDP chairman, Ohaji-Egbema), Hon. Ogbuji Davis, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager of Adapalm Nigeria Limited, Ohaji, and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Dr. Esom Goddy Obodo, who convened the meeting at his Amafor residence today, Sunday, hinted that the vote of confidence passed on the Governor has become necessary owing to the fact that within less than one year, the Governor has done impactful things in our Local Government which are commendable.
“Just within few months of his Administration, the Governor has appointed not less than 15 Ohaji-Egbema sons and daughters into his government. That is a typical demonstration of love towards our people”, he submitted.
“We now have a University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences courtesy of Gov. Hope Uzodinma. It is a blessing for our Local Government. All we need to do is to support the administration of Gov. Uzodinma to ensure the University thrives”.
Dr. Obodo, who described Gov. Uzodinma as a visionary leader who has the interest of ndi Ohaji-Egbema at heart, disclosed that the Governor is working relentlessly to making sure that Adapalm is brought back to life.
He disclosed that the Governor has reached out to the Central Bank of Nigeria to obtain loan which will be injected into Adapalm for its revival.
On his part, Chief Charles Orie, the Traditional Prime Minister of Ohaji, speaking on the occasion, called on the stakeholders of Ohaji-Egbema to rally round Gov. Hope Uzodinma in moving Imo forward, noting that no Local Government has gotten political appointment under Gov. Uzodinma more Ohaji-Egbema.
“Let us come together as brothers and sisters and support his Excellency, because he has done well in Ohaji-Egbema, and the only way to pay him back is by supporting him”.
On his part, Hon. Gideon Meffor, former Local Government Chairman of Ohaji-Egbema commended Dr. Obodo for masterminding the meeting with a view to bringing the leaders together.
He however praised the Governor for treating Ohaji-Egbema people as the geese that lay the Golden egg by giving them juicy political appointments, noting that the Governor has started on a good footing.
In their separate speeches, Hon. Golden Nwokoma, Sir Mike Nwobi, Hon. Golden Nwokoma, Chief Ifeanyi Ogbuka harped on the need for the stakeholders to always speak with one voice and love one another, as it is the panacea to attracting sustainable development to our Local Government.
