The members, Executive Council and Board of Trustees of the New Umuaka Project Initiative (NUP-I) have unanimously passed a Vote of Confidence on the NUP-I Global Administrator and leader, Dr. Austin Agbahiwe.
Dr. Agbahiwe has made tremendous and fruitful efforts towards the development of Umuaka communities. He has relentlessly commited his time, talents and treasures through the instrumentality of the NUP-I, mobilised well-meaning Umuaka people living at home and abroad, for the unity, peace and progress of the good people of Umuaka.
We have had the privilege of working with Dr Agbahiwe and still working under his leadership. He has been a great role model to many.
Umuaka has recorded tremendous developments and improvements under his NUP-I leadership.
In view of the above facts, we hereby pass a Vote of Confidence on Dr Austin Agbahiwe. We equally do not recognize any other person illegally claiming that he is the leader of NUP-I.
In a statement issued by the Ag. Secretary General and Director of Protocols and Logistics, Comr. Collins Baba Awuzie and made available to newsmen, the group urged the good people of Umuaka and the general public to disregard Chief Tobechukwu J. Ehirim and Chief Leo Offorji’s illegal moves to forcefully take over the leadership of the NUP-I for their own interests. He urged the NUP-I family and the entire Umuaka communities to remain calm even in the face of provocation and unwarranted attack by these disgruntled elements and assured the people that light will surely triumph over darkness.
