The Ohaji/ Egbema LGA has authorized the cancellation of the proposed town Union Election scheduled for this weekend.
A statement made available to Trumpeta and signed by the Interim Management Committee Chairman of the council reads;
“This is to inform the General Public, especially, the people of Mmahu Autonomous Community that the purported Town Union Election of Mmahu Autonomous Community in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State scheduled for Saturday, 13, February, 2021, has been stopped by the authorities of the Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State.
“Therefore, concerned persons involved have been warned to stop the proposed arrangements as security agencies have been alerted of the directives.
“Anyone flouting this directives is doing so at his or her own risk”.
