2027 Guber: Mazi Gburugburu Set For APP
…As Supporters Take Over Party’s Structure in Imo
The stage is gradually taking shape for a great showdown for who will succeed Senator Hope Uzodimma after his tenure as Governor of Imo State.
One of those reported to be angling for the coveted seat of Imo State Governor, Mazi Chima Matthew Amadi (Mazi Gburugburu) is reported to be setting the structure to run for the next governorship of the state.
After the initial body language of interest for the plum position, Mazi Gburugburu is taking further steps with the establishment of a party structure lacking in his earlier trajectory of operations.
But a list of party officials of the Action People’s Party, APP for the Imo State Chapter from the national office indicate that allies of Mazi Gburugburu have taken over the party structure.
From the Chairman, Hon Ernest Njesi to other officials shows that they are not separated from the Ngor Okpala politician.
More prominent on the list are Cajethan Duke Akuta, a notable strongman of Mazi Gburugburu and spokesman of the campaign team coming in as Publicity Secretary.
Others believed to be supporting Mazi Gburugburu campaign organisation and involved in the new APP executive in Imo State are Hon Emma Bukar the Organising Secretary as well as Chief Leo Okeahialam.
Trumpeta further notes that Engr Emeka Onwukwe and Onyemaechi Ndidi, Secretary and Auditor respectively are also involved in the exco.
Findings from this newspaper show that other exco members are partly involved in the Mazi Gburugburu ambition.
