Political leaders of Nwangele LGA have described the Honourable member representing them at the state House of Assembly Hon. Ozuruigbo OZB, as an inconsistent and fickle minded politician who has resorted to flirting from, one political party to another for his selfish ambition.
Speaking to newsmen on the rumoured defect to APC by OZB, Chief John Bosco Ozigbu and Barr Emeka Mgbudem who were both instrumental to Ozuruigbo’s success at the 2011 polls expressed regret that a young man like OZB has since 2011 moved from PDP to APGA back to PDP and now to APC which they say is in line with the unreliable character of the governor who he is following sheepishly. The leaders said that Hon OZB is not on ground in Nwangele hence they have asked him to resign his position or be disgraced as he has disappointed his constituents.
Barr. Mgbudem described Governor Rochas as a man who is as inconsistent as inconsistency can be and as a rolling stone that gathers no mud stressing that Rochas will soon abandon his followers in APC as the legal luminary described Imo as a PDP state.
Chief Ozigbu therefore gave OZB a red card, urging him to resign as he can no longer win any other election in Nwangele. The business mogul and political leader in Nwangele of PDP extraction stated that Nwangele is politically stable under full control of the PDP. He wondered why Hon Ozuruigbo should bite the fingers that fed him. He noted that Ozuruigbo pleaded to be considered in 2011 only to abandon the ship that brought him on board. He stressed that as a PDP faithful and stakeholder, he can never support any cross carpeting to other party. He added that Ozuruigbo acted on his own without consulting with the leaders. Chief Ozigbu emphasized that Hon Ozuruigbo has committed political suicide and will surely be disciplined for tarnishing the image of the people who supported and delivered him as a member of Imo House of Assembly when the secretary of the state PDP, Sir George Eguh was asked on the cross carpeting of Hon Ozuruigbo. He said that Ozuruigbo has shot himself on the foot as it was Chief Ozigbu and Barr Mgbudem who pleaded with the party to accept Ozuruigbo in 2011 as PDP did not know OZB abinitio but regretted that he has disappointed them.
Barr Mgbudem and Chief Ozigbu called on young politicians to exercise patient in pursuing their aspiration as it takes consistency to survive in life.
Chief Ozigbu and Bar Mgbudem stressed that as PDP leaders, they will continue to work for the progress and success of the party in Nwangele, Imo and in the nation noting that PDP led federal government has done a lot in the development of the country.
It will be recalled that Hon Ozuruigbo defected to APGA on their inauguration day at the House of Assembly and when threatened with a recall, he rushed back and pleaded with the PDP that voted him into power and since then, he has been involved in controversies at the House and with his constituents.
