SSA Youth Affairs, Eric Uwakwe Bags Episcopal Award, Gets Bishop’s Commendation

The youthful appointee to Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma as Senior Special Assistant on Youth Affairs, Hon. Eric Uwakwe has recorded another giant feat.
This time around, he bagged a prestigious award as ‘friend of the youths’, from the Church of Nigeria, Diocese of Isi Mbano Anglican Youth fellowship, last Sunday.
It was bestowed on him as part of events marking the 27th Annual Bible conference of the Diocese.
Handing over the award, the diocesan bishop, Rt. Rev. Godson U. Ukanwa extolled Eric Uwakwe for his doggedness in defending and protecting the interest and integrity of the youths in the church and State at large.
The bishop affirmed Uwakwe’s monumental achievements in all sectors, especially in affairs concerning the youths.
He added that those contributions earned him the honour drawn from his selfless services to God and humanity.
Bishop Ukanwa added that as a progressive and administrator, he has carved a niche for himself among his peers.
In his words, “We are very proud of you for taking youths in Imo State much higher. You have proved beyond doubts that there is a great hope for a better Imo State”.
“You are a man of courage who believes in possibilities against all odds; a man of focus and dignity. We are indeed very proud of you and we pray that God will grant your heart desires and take you to the next level of your political career.
“Today, we have decided to honour you in due recognition of your exceptional achievements as a Friend of the Youths”.
On the same vein, Ukanwa commended Hon Uwakwe for always identifying with the church, stressing that it was an eloquent indication of his love and undying passion for God and humility.
Responding, Hon Uwakwe thanked the Bishop, and the Christian community for  believing in the shared prosperity Government of Senator Hope Uzodimma to maintain law and order, saying it is on record that there was no single religious conflict in the State.
“To our fathers in the Lord and clergymen, I thank you all for recognizing me with this award of Honour. I see it as an award for more work”.
The elated appointee ceased the opportunity in calling for more continued prayers, patience and support towards the government, so as to thrive in all her dreams of prospering the State.
“As we put our faith in God, I urge you to also believe in our State Imo. Our State is on an upward trajectory that needs everyone pulling in the same direction. We need cooperation, unity and peaceful co-existence to continue on this our growth curve” he added.
