Government have advised those who are not comfortable with its policies to come up with meaningful suggestions for improvement.
Imo state Information and Strategy Commissioner, Dr Obinna Duruji who gave the advice in an interview said government policies under the Rescue Mission Agenda are designed to serve the best interest of the citizen of Imo state.
On
the gains of the community government council, (CGC) Dr Duruji revealed that the system will unlock untapped resources in the rural communities including human and entrepreneurial resources he also said that the CGC will checkmate rural urban migration as well as help to decongest the urban cities of Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu.
On manpower required for the take off of CGC, Dr Duruji said that 5 workers each will be drawn from the local government and the civil service commission covering the administrative, accounting, planning, engineering, secretarial and sports development.
He said this workers will commence prelim activities and prepare grounds for the formal take off of the councels, the commissioners said that the traditional Rulers will be the Chairman of the council while the president general remain as the executive secretary as well as the adviser on Agriculture and works, the youth leader will be adviser on security and talent hunt in the communities while women leaders will advice on health matters. The community speakers who will be appointed will serve as state representatives.
