. Says No Interest In Imo Guber 2027
It was enormous display of pomp and pageantry in honour of the incumbent Governor of Imo State His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma State, as the people of Emekuku/Emii Political bloc of Owerri North LGA Imo State held a lavishing victory party in appreciation of his landslide victory in the just concluded Imo guber Election which was held on the 11th of Nov,2023.
The thunderous event was held at the residence of the Convener Sir Jude Ejiogu at Emekuku where he addressed the mammoth Crowd.
Ejiogu while speaking maintained that the reason behind the event in honor of Gov Uzodinma was solely to thank God and appreciate his people for believing in him and working in synergy towards ensuring that Uzodinma was reelected for a second term.
“I made a promise to my people that if they should support me and return Uzodinma I would declare a feast for them and today I am fulfilling my promise” Ejiogu said.
Continuing, he made it known that rumors have it that he wants to contest for Imo Governorship Seat by 2027 pointing out that he is not interested in the Seat, as all he wants is good governance in Imo State, which is the reason he fought relentlessly for Uzodinma’s re -election to enable the Governor further deliver democratic dividend’s in the State as he promised Owerri zone he would hand over to them after his tenure in 2027.
Ejiogu urged the people of Owerri North LGA to remain calm as their complaint of bad roads in Emekuku,Ulakwo and Emii would be addressed things as Governor Uzodinma has a listening ear and wouldn’t hesitate to come to their aid because he is happy with the landslide victory in the Poll.
Prince Lemmy Akakem opined he that he was happy how people came out enmasse and supported the Uzodinma agenda.
“The vision of many years back has come to pass. Uzodinma came to redeem Imo State .We all made it possible and I am proud of you all and mostly Ejiogu through whom this was achieved in Owerri eventually” Akakem Said.
Trumpeta gathered that Owerri North LGA won in all 12 Wards which is clear a evidence that Uzodinma won meritoriously in the LGA.
