Even as 2015 is still far, some die-hard politicians and stakeholders have started fine-turning their strategies and engaging in political alignment and re-alignment for the task ahead.
Imo Turmpeta investigation revealed that penultimate week ago, the likes of former Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, Honourable Chuma Nnaji, Chief Ben Ekwueme and few others were reportedly at theAbuja residence of former Governor Achike Udenwa for a crucial parley.
It was further gathered that the group as part of their re-union strategy pledged to work with the former Imo State Governor in his future political struggles and subsequently requested to become strategic partners for 2015 political game. The meeting was an opportunity for reconciliation among them to forget ills and misgivings recorded during the last political dispensation.
Responding, Chief Udenwa was reported to have assured them that he is happy to welcome them back to his fold as his old allies.
He however urged them to be steadfast in the struggle to liberate Imo people and indeed Nigerians from bad governance. And promised to carry them along in his future political outings.
Although it is not yet clear as at the point of going to the press whether Chief Udenwa who played prominent roles in the ACN in the last political outing is heading for the Mega Party, PDP or still in ACN.
But political pundits are of the opinion that the former Governor is on his way back to the PDP as that is his only sure bet to future political relevance.
